Birthwise Midwifery School announces the addition of the Midwifery Assistant Program
In June of 2017, Birthwise Midwifery School will host its first-ever cohort of students in the brand new, MEAC-accredited Midwifery Assistant Program. This 16-month, low-residency program allows students to live and work in their home communities, coming to campus in Bridgton, Maine six times over the course of 16 months for intensive classroom time.
While working with midwives in their home communities, MA students will develop the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills they need to be able to offer an incredible array of adjunct maternity services, including birth assisting, childbirth education, doula work, placental encapsulation, and much more.
Enrollment is limited to 18 students. The application deadline is March 15th.
